With the start of the week came Blue Monday, a day now marked out as the most depressing of the year. Potentially that was the case for some, but rather than approach this, or any Monday with trepidation, we here at Peak Governance Business Advisors prefer to focus on the positive ways to tackle the days of the week. Working with leaders and mentoring them over the years, we find particularly at this point in the year, that many leaders are reflecting on what has gone before and contemplating what may evolve in the future. So for Blue Monday, read Motivation Monday. Plan the week and drive the business and your people with clear vision and direction. If everyone has clear direction and tasks, this should free you up to drive the business from above and not from within.
Terrific Tuesday follows on where high priority tasks are achieved and the associated satisfactions further enhance your leadership within the business. The energy levels continue and this cascades down through the team.
Winning Wednesday follows on from the previous day and continues to take advantage of the mindset of early to midweek higher productivity rates. Having a handle on how nature can play a part in your working week, and planning accordingly can have huge benefits to your business.
Thought Provoking Thursday where ideas and creativity, along with learning and innovation can be a great tool for self-development and enhancing the business offering. Here at Peak, we typically devote 10-20% of the working week to self-development and advocate the same to all our clients, where possible.
That leads on to Finish Up Friday where lower priority tasks are completed and wrapping up lose ends and winding down can take place, giving that sense of satisfaction and an important rest period before meeting the challenges of a fresh week, which may or may not be planned for on this day too.
