Greenwashing Or Inaccurate Reporting?
The BBC report raises a number of questions. Are companies over-ambitious in their targets, or are they trying to greenwash when reporting results?
Stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, will almost certainly consider the answer to this in their decisions about dealing with the companies named in this report. That said, they may not have many alternative suppliers.

There are a number of ways to measure a carbon footprint. Not every company uses the same methodology, but it is important that individual companies consistently use the same method. Further investigations and reports will be interesting.
